Rachel Catherall - Principal Of Elsberdance - A.I.S.T.D. (Ballet, Modern, Tap and National) - Trained at The Elsber School Of Dance and Merseyside Dance & Drama Centre, Liverpool. After graduating from dance college, Rachel danced  professionally all over the world for many companies and cruise lines, including Chandris / Celebrity Cruises, working her way up to Dance Captain. She went on to be the Resident Artistic Director for the European leg of the Irish dance show, Spirit Of The Dance and performed all over the world with the company.As choreographer, her credits include; Romeo & Juliet, The Four Seasons, A Chorus Of Disapproval, Arcadia, The Cherry Orchard, As You Like It and The Winslow Boy, directed by Terry Hands CBE; A View From The Bridge, Hobson’s Choice, Flights Of Fancy, Home Front, The Way It Was, The Voyage, The Grapes Of Wrath, The Timeless Myths Of The Mabinogion, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twighlight Tales, Great Expectations, Yesterday, Flora’s  War, The Spirit Of Mimosa, Sky Hawk and Rape Of The Fair Country, directed by Tim Baker; The Glass Menagerie, Dancing At Lughnasa and Gaslight, directed by Kate Wasserberg; A Dolls House and Shakespeare’s Will, directed by Emma Lucia, all for Clwyd Theatr Cymru. Rachel has choreographed many one off corpoerate events, including An Audience With Paul Daniels and was also choreographer for the Barclays Spaces For Sports Campaign, fronted by Darren Gough.

Alexandra Wilson - A.I.S.T.D. (Ballet and Modern) and A.R.A.D. - Trained at the Hammond School Of Dance, Chester from the age of 11 through 19, she then went on to dance professionally and toured Japan and the far east in various dance companies. She is a freelance dance teacher and teaches ballet for the school.

 

Dawn Hughes - Conroy - A.I.S.T.D. (Modern and Tap) - trained at the Hammond School, Chester as a school associate from the age of four, taking ISTD and RAD exams. In 1999, Dawn went full time on the Musical Theatre Course. Dawn graduated in 2002 with a Trinity national Diploma in Professional Dance and teaching qualifications in ISTD Modern and Tap. In August 2002, Dawn began teaching at Aalesand Ballettskole in Norway and in 2003 choreographed the musical theatre production of My Fair Lady for the Norwegian National Opera. Dawn continued to teach at Balletskole and choreograph and perform for various other Norwegian companies until her return to England in 2004. On her return, Dawn taught for the Elsber School of Theatre Dance for a year, before going to teach at Ecosse Performer’s College in Scotland and in 2005, choreographed the touring production of The Lion King and the following year, the touring production of, Beauty & the Beast. In 2007, she returned home to Chester and now teaches for the Elsber School of Theatre Dance, the North Wales School of Dance and also at West Cheshire College.

 

Laura Mewes - Graduate of Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre, 2014. Here she completed 3 years of professional dance training in varying styles of dance including  jazz, tap and ballet and achieved 'head girl' status. She also gained her I.S.T.D.teaching qualifications in both Modern and Tap. Previous to this training Laura was a pupil here at Elsberdance, where she trained for 6 years. Now a teacher here, Laura hopes to continue to instil the passion and discipline she gained during her time at the school. In 2015 Laura joined the cast of ‘Spirit of the Dance’ as an ensemble dancer. She has since gone on to complete two international tours with the company, a UK tour and most recently a 6 month world tour which toured around China, Dubai, Israel and Holland with the company. She has also performed at various corporate events with the company in the UK and will continue her work with them this year.

Cassie Moffatt - Cassie has been a member of Elsberdance since she was 4 years old. While a student, Cassie was a member of theJunior and Senior Dance Teams and danced to an advanced level. She competed in many festivals and has choregraphed BuckleyPantomime and been assistant choreographer on many projects. Cassie now helps in the Primary  - Grade 2 Tap and Modern classes,and teaches the Beginner’s irish Class. Cassie has recently graduated from Bangor University and is now a qualified Primary School teacher and will be taking her ISTD examinations in the near future.
